As you drive your car the engine produces a tremendous amount of torque in an effort to propel your vehicle forward. In order to ensure that the torque is transmitted to the wheels it is import that the motor is held securely in place so that it does not rip out of the frame. The job of your engine mount brackets is to keep the motor in check. If your engine mount brackets have been damaged from corrosion or fatigue it can cause excessive engine vibrations and lead to other driving issues. Here at Andy's Auto Sport we have a complete selection of replacement engine mount brackets to help restore your vehicle's performance. With a great assortment of brackets from all of the top brands you are sure to find the perfect items for your application in our vast catalog.
While stock replacement engine mount brackets may be perfect for a commuter or daily driver, if you are building a high-performance machine you may require brackets that can handle the added stress. Fortunately there are many companies that offer upgraded engine mount brackets. Made of stronger materials, these brackets can withstand the increased torque loads that come from high-horsepower motors. There are also custom engine brackets designed to help with engine swaps. So if you are looking to put a bigger motor in your ride be sure to check out all of our bracket options first.
Q: What are engine mount brackets? Why buy them?
A: Your engine is suspended in your vehicle using soft motor mounts that are attached to strong metal brackets. These brackets physically bolt to your chassis to keep your motor secure in place allowing it to transmit power to the rear wheels instead of flopping and twisting itself to pieces. Because of the tremendous strain that they are subjected to, engine mount brackets are prone to cracking and failing over the years. A broken engine bracket can cause a host of problems from running issues to vibrations. If you suspect that you have a worn out bracket, be sure to replace it with a new unit ASAP to keep your vehicle running in tip top condition and prevent further damage from occurring to your ride.
